My Boyfriend and I decided to take a four night and five day trip to Dewey Beach, Delaware. I've been there with my family before and liked it, so I decided to take my boyfriend there on vacation. We stayed in a smaller hotel that was within walking distance of the beach. The hotel had a heated pool, which was nice because we would go swimming by ourselves late at night when it was cooler out. We would also go to the beach late at night with flashlights and look for sea shells or just to walk and talk. We ended up going to the beach almost every night around midnight. After we would get back from the beach we would clean up and sit out on the deck. The hotel we stayed at had a deck on top of the building next to the road, so you could look at everyone walking down the street. We drank some wine and sat on the deck for hours. The last day we were at Dewey, we decided to get up really early to walk on the beach and watch the sunrise. We found out that if you want to get really good sea shells, you gotta get to the beach early in the morning before anyone else gets there. The tied goes out really far at night and brings all the shells in. We brought shells back to keep as a reminder of our lovely vacation. My boyfriend and I work all the time so it was nice to get away for once and be by ourselves. Plus we went in September so all the screaming kids were gone. |
